I am using a Nokia 5800 Xpress Music phone and my sister just got her new Nokia N97 mini. Comparing the two, she is having a major issue than mine. My problem is, I have my contact list with their names that didn't show or appears when receiving incoming SMS. I can only see their numbers. Normally, when you save a contact with their names and numbers, it will appear when sending and receiving SMS. But mine is just showing numbers when receiving SMS. My sister using her N97, all of her contacts just show the numbers on SMS. Only 2 or 3 contacts are showing their names. We both checked if there are duplicate contacts then we set the language to English instead of Automatic. But we are both unlucky to fix the issue.
Do you have any suggestions?

 Hello there! If you checked your contact list for duplicate entries (no same contacts should be in your phone memory and sim card memory), then the problem lies in your firmware version. To fix this, you just have to upgrade your firmware version. However, there is no update yet on how to fix this kind of problem. Many people who have nokia phones (especially the N-series) encounter the same problem as yours. It is a really simple functionality that should be present in every phones. It is just surprising that their firmware updates do not fix this. Good Luck to you!

Nokia Phones not showing Contact’s name on SMS
Hi Kin,
Where have stored your contacts, on the phone memory or on the sim card memory. A situation like that sometimes occurs when you have stored your contacts on the Sim card. Otherwise it could be a software bug in the nokia system application, in the case which you will need to contact the nokia support staff and inform then about your issue. The contacts for the nokia support staff should be somewhere in the manual that came with the phone.
Another possible reason as to why that may be occurring may be because your memory if full, so when you try to save a new number it will only recognize the number and ignore the name to minimize on memory usage.
