Nokia N9 gets a new update which is the MeeGo PR1.3. How is the update and what major or noticeable improvements that this update brought about?

Hi Greg,
Your concern here is about N9 MeeGo PR1.3 upgrade, before hand this N9 has problem in its operating system before it reaches your hand, and I don't know why it passed on the quality check, maybe the QC is on leave for a long period of time, as I observe with this MeeGo PR1.3 for N9, they promised that they have delivered above 1000 quality improvements, specially on the bug fixes, to name the few are fixed are the application of Twitter, Facebook and mail.
They also do NFC fixes, quality video decoding, enhancements of camera features , good copy and paste, and they increase the volume level for listening pleasure.

The release of the MeeGo PR1.3 update for Nokia N9 was on July 2012. The firmware upgrade is a 203 MB Over-The-Air download. The update is quite big so before attempting the upgrade on your device, make sure your handset is fully charged or if it is possible just connect the charger to your phone while doing the download.
The new firmware delivers more than one thousand new improvements to your handset. Several of the main enhancements include the MfE or the Mail for Exchange which now supports client certificates, support for new error codes with the Facebook app and localization enhancements, and changes in the Twitter API that show the Twitter backend infrastructure.
Aside from the main improvements, there are also several general updates to the firmware like the AccuWeather widget weather which is now fixed in this update, the VoIP calls now work using Gtalk or Skype when the phone is in flight mode and connected to a WLAN, and the error on the calendar when changing the “week starts on” date is now fixed.
To download the update, go to applications section then Settings, Applications, Manage applications, Updates, and then tap the Refresh icon. You should see the update on your screen after this.
