Hi,

When I run the NI Installer on Windows 7 I always get an error of Unknown Exception. Why is this happening? I would like to use National Instruments because I am doing a research that requires me to know how the NI operates.

As with the screenshot I don’t think you are using Windows 7. But anyway, for Windows 7 users there should be no problem when using LabVIEW 2011. National Instruments LabVIEW 2011 supports Windows Server 2003 R2 32-bit, Windows Server 2008 R2 64-bit, Windows XP Service Pack 3 32-bit, 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8.

For non-Windows operating systems, it supports Mac OS X 10.5 up to 10.8, and Linux kernel 2.2x, 2.4x, 2.6x, and 3.x. Check if your operating system is mentioned among the platforms above because if not then you are installing it on an incompatible platform. You need to install it on a supported operating system otherwise you won’t be able to test it and do your research.

If you need to download the installer again, you can download the latest trial version from Download LabVIEW.
