Facebook launched an application enabling you to find friends nearby (Find Friends Nearby). How can I adjust my security settings if I don't want to be found by my friends? Can I also set it to find a specific friend if he/she is close or within my area?

Hi William,
Yes, you can adjust your security settings. First, make sure you click the your Home page which is just right beside your name then click the arrow head down to make the drop down list visible. Click the Privacy settings to control your default Privacy. Now, under the Control Your Default Privacy there are 3 choices there which are the Public, Friends and Custom. Public is to allow everyone to view your profiles. Friends enable just your friends and the custom option. If you choose the custom default you could have an option to which you wanted your profile be visible of (e.g. Friends of Friends, Friends, Specific People or lists and Only Me). You could click the box FRIENDS OF THOSE TAGGED to enable those who your friends tagged their photos. Under the Custom field you could also go to the HIDE THIS FROM, to make the list of people who you do not allow.
