Hi Dears,

I am using this Windows 2008 R2 64 bit server and using this window at Client Windows7 32 &64 bit & windows XP machine. Now I configure the terminal server also configures VPN. For this purpose I use open VPN. Now I install some separate windows at client machine such as Window XP and Vista. Now I want to do communication but I receive below error. Please tell me how can I get successful access?

RemoteApp Disconnected

This computer can’t connect to the remote computer because the Terminal Services Gateway server address is unreachable or incorrect. Type a valid server Address.

The main cause behind this problems is some problem in the registry entries at the following path:

HKLMSystemCurrentControlSetServicesTermServicesParameters
Follow the procedure below to fix it.

1. Open Start >> Run and type regedit and press enter.

2. Navigate to the following path:

HKLMSystemCurrentControlSetServicesTermServicesParameters

3. Now delete registry keys named Certificate, X500 Certificate and X509 Certificate ID values. (These keys will get auto generated after system restart with system default values, which is actually needed)

4. Exit Registry editor and restart your computer.

5. Try to establish a remote desktop connection by typing MSTSC at Run Prompt.

Another way is to Right Click on My Computer => Properties = >Remote Setting.

Select the radio button saying "Allow Connections for computer running any version of remote desktop".

Remote Desktop connection is the procedure to Access the Desktop of another client in a network. First you have to check the Computer Name, DNS, Default gate way of network. if still error occurs, then go to the Group Policy Management Console GPMC, follow these steps;

1. Start => Run => type "gpedit.msc". OK.

2. Then go in User Configuration = > Windows components => Terminal Services => Remote Desktop Connection Client.

3. Enable the feature of RDCC and then try to connect.

Server issues.

First add the IP of a computer that you want to connect with the server. If connected, check the cable. It must be properly connected from the Local Area Network (LAN). Check the IP of the computer you want to remote. Try to run again remote desktop operation by clicking start, all programs, accessories, communication then remote desktop connection. Enter the correct IP then hit Enter.
