I want to save the details of my customers in MS Excel 2007.
Instead of making new fields, columns and writing formulae, I want people data Excel template.
So that I just enter data and save.
Can I have such template?
Need template of MS Excel to save people’s data
You can easily create a template in Excel 2007, using the save as option available in MS Excel. It allows you to save a model in Excel with an already saved formatting, font, colors and formulae which can be repetitively used with changed data.
Here are simple steps to create a template:
1. Open excel and format the workbook according to your requirement, put all the variables there, include all the formulae you have to use and do proper fonting and color-coding as you want to have in your template.
2. When you TEMPLATE workbook is completed, click on the office button go to SAVE AS and from there click on OTHER FORMATS as depicted in the following diagram:
3. After clicking on this option a new window will pop up for saving, for the SAVE AS FILE drag down menu, select Excel Template as shown in the below figure, and name your template.
There are 3 options for templates, if you are not really sure which one do you want to use, just use "Excel Template", and click on SAVE after selecting this option.
4. You will have your template saved at your desired location. You can open it directly by double clicking.
You can also save charts etc. in templates.
I hope this will help you out.
