If you want to transfer the videos on your iPod to your Macintosh computer, you can do it without using iCloud Photos by just using iTunes. To do this, first, make sure you have the latest iTunes installed. Download the latest iTunes and install to update the existing version. iTunes 12.5.1 or higher is required when importing photos to Mac.

Connect your iPod to your Mac using the USB cable that came with it. If you are using an SD card, insert it to the SD slot of your Mac or to a card reader. You might also need to unlock your iOS device with your passcode. When your iOS device prompts you to “Trust This Computer,” just tap “Trust” to continue.

Next, open the Photos app if it doesn’t open automatically. Here, the “Import” screen should appear automatically. If it doesn’t, go to the “Import” tab at the top of the app or click the iPod’s name in the sidebar. Select the items you want to import then click “Import Selected.” When it is finished, just disconnect your iPod from your Mac.
