Hello,

I use Windows 7 on my PC. And I use Chrome as my default internet browser as well. To attain a good download speed I'm interested to use IDM. Now I need the details about how to add IDM with Chrome because as far as I know that it doesn't happen automatically.

Thanks

Hi There,
You do not do anything as I believe this should automatically install in your Google Chrome. Just Download IDM and install in your PC. Make sure to close your browser while installing. After installation it will automatically install the plugins required for Google Chrome. If anyway it won’t work open your browser and click on add ons. And check to see if it is disabled. Just enable this and restart your browser. You will be able to use this now.

Hi!

You need to check if this is enabled on your Chrome as follows:

1.       Click Chrome Menu

2.       Select Settings

3.       Select Extension

4.       Check Enable box if unchecked

5.       Check Allow Incognito if you use incognito

You may also do the following on your IDM:

1.       Enable the "Use advanced browser integration" option in "Options->General" on your IDM.

2.       In the box “Captured downloads from the browsers” check Google Chrome.

3.       If there is an error, click on Start -> Computer -> Manage.

4.       Navigate Services and Applications -> Services.

5.       Locate and right click Base Filtering Engine and click Properties. Change the Startup type to Automatic, click Start on the Service Status and click Apply.

If you happen to delete the IDM integration, open your IDM Installation Folder then drag and drop the "IDMGCExt.crx"  file into a Chrome extension page opened (chrome: //chrome/extensions).
