NCLauncher Issues in virtual stores

 Hi,

NC Soft launcher keeps showing me with the following message but I don't know what the reason is:

“WARNING: The NCLauncher has detected a Windows Virtual store folder for City of Heroes, and an install in Program Files.

The NCLauncher would like to remove the folder in your Virtual Store; not removing this folder could cause errors. Can NCLauncher remove this folder below?"

The strange thing is, City of Heroes is installed and plays completely fine. It is not being listed under my installed games tab on the launcher and it seems to not be outright detected.

I can load up the game fine when I hit play.

Need some solution.

Thanks.

Dear Myrna hatch,

According to the warning message you have, a workaround of this problem would probably be of disabling UAC (User Account Control). Here you are a detailed scenario of how to disable UAC:

  • Click "Start" button and then go to "Control Panel".
  • Type UAC in the search box.
  • Now you can find a link named "Turn User Account Control (UAC) on or off". Click this link.
  • You will find a check box named "Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer", uncheck this option and click OK.

Now you have UAC disabled, restart your computer when you are asked to do.

Hope this may help you.

Best of luck.
