Hello,

I am trying to install a National Instruments driver, but during the installation I receive the following error message. I downloaded this drive from another website but the same error appeared. How can I overcome this problem without having any trouble? I need your assistance to resolve the error.

Thanks in advance.

Error: The "NI-488.2 2.8" installation has failed with the following error: There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor.

I would first request you to restart and then again try to install it, but before that please see if the driver is installed or not.

If the problem still persists then I would request you to “Run the program as an administrator”, Sometimes in 64 bit OS like Windows 8 administrators permission is needed to run or gain access to certain drivers, If the problem still persists the please let me know

To check hardware and software compatibility please take a look at this site:-
