I'm having a situation on setting up Domain Controller in Windows Server 2012. I am setting up in a new forest and ADDS has already been setup. It also promoted the server the DC for a new forest. However, I cannot open the Active Directory tools. It always shows an error:

Active Directory Domain Services

Naming information cannot be located because:

The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted.

Contact your system administrator to verify that your domain is properly configured and is currently online.

The Event Viewer is showing error 1335 and DNS Replication. How can I resolve this issue?

It seems to be an issue with the DFS and the sysvol that becomes obscure. All you need to do is to go to your Reg Editor and navigate to the following SysvolReady keys:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetServicesNetlogonParameters

Change the value of it to 1 if the value is 0 or vice versa and then Accept. And then close your Reg editor.
