I have realized that my firewall protection not working well since constant unwanted programs and attack by viruses constantly,Any advise

From my point of view, Windows Firewall has given its best performance to protect our systems. I would like to share you a few tips regarding this issue.

Windows Firewall settings recommendations

i.              Please make sure the firewall is turned on

ii.            The firewall is being enabled to protect all network locations which are Home, Public and Domain.

iii.           The firewall is always turned on for the entire network connections

iv.           The firewall is preventing in going connections with no exception

 

Note : you must be logged in as administrators to perform the actions above.

As for me, I would not advise you to run more than a single firewall. It is sufficient to protect our machine and binding data which travels in between the computer and network. Installing a third party firewall might cause a reduction in system performance and having the possibility to cause conflicts.

If your computer encounters frequent virus attacks then the problem has nothing to do with your Windows Firewall. I think you have a misconception about Windows Firewall or the component of Microsoft Windows that is supposedly designed to block outside attacks. The main purpose of the Windows Firewall is to prevent any intrusion on your computer. What it does is prevent or block any outside attack or the connection coming from a remote computer usually through the internet that will attempt to enter your computer. Besides blocking outside connection, it will also block any programs on your computer that will attempt on sending an outside connection.

But even if it is good in blocking in and out traffic, it is not designed to detect any virus on your system and that’s the reason why you install an antivirus. It seems that you are thinking of Windows Firewall as an antivirus already and its not. To protect your computer against viruses and other malwares, you need to install an antivirus on your computer and the best one that can protect your computer is Norton Internet Security. It is an antivirus and a security software as well with its own Smart Firewall that is a much better protector than Windows Firewall.

Since you said that your computer has been frequently infected by viruses, the best way to clean it is to format it again, install Microsoft Windows, and then install Norton Internet Security. Thanks Techyv.com as well as other contributors. I wish to single out Sharath's comment as the most informative. The comments helped me to understand what my misconception about Windows Firewall was. After reading your comment, I got the idea that to protect my computer against viruses I need to install an antivirus and also you have recommended me the best one that is, Norton Internet Security which is the best way of restoring and strengthening the security of my computer. It doesn’t slow down my PC but also gives better security and a great performance. I am really grateful for having such a nice firewall because it also doesn’t disturb during playing games. I am getting a superb performance. Thanks Sharath for giving me information about such a nice security program.
