My school has Windows XP installed, i feel insecure

Hello there,
 
I just enrolled in a course on CMS at my school, which has Windows XP installed. I told them to please update this version of Windows because it is outdated and is potentially dangerous.
 
I need some advice. What do you think of this? I feel insecure and am about to cancel. Would you continue doing the course knowing that XP is dangerous?

If you are using XP and that is outdated you should keep in mind following things. So that you can use XP safely.
 
1. Always use updated browser : Some browsers like Opera, Fire fox, Chrome. Please use these updated browser so that you can do safe search.
 
2.  Buy full version of antivirus: Always buy a full version of antivirus that can protects your data online and offline.
     Ex:- kasper sky, Norton ,F-secure
3.   Always use limitation of account access. If you want to install something then access the account. It can safe your system from the attackers.
 
4.   Do not install unnecessary applications in your outdated XP system.
