What things, cables, wires or parts should I check in a computer that shows only a black screen with no beep sounds with the power on, monitor lights on, and CPU running okay? The CPU led lights are on. The monitor lights up when powered on but turns to blue screen. The system was okay two days ago. It was booting up and was working well. Sorry for repost as I was not a member earlier.

As far as I think your system’s RAM has crashed. Since the CPU is ON and there is no beep sound, so it’s the RAM. Sometimes this problem can be fixed by just removing the RAM from your CPU and insert it again. You need to open your CPU and take out the RAM. Then re-insert it. If you have not opened your CPU before then take someone’s help.

There are two clips on two sides of the RAM. Please make sure you have opened the clips before removing it. Otherwise the RAM cannot be removed. If the problem stays as it is after re-inserting the RAM, then your RAM has crashed and needs to be replaced.

Two days ago, my computer screen also went black when i switched my pc on. I checked all the cables and they were all fine. Then i took out the ram and re-inserted it but yet it wasn’t working. So i replaced my ram and then everything was fine again!

Thanks for the advice.
