Recently, I upgraded my  Acer Aspire 4730z  RAM into 2gb but the problem is the screen won't display after the technician put the memory. He took the new memory and put back the old one then the screen worked. So, he tried another new memory and put it on the slot but then again screen won't display. It came to a point when he tried the old one back, the screen won't display anymore. The technician told me my laptop had a hardware problem. Anyone knows what happen to my laptop? Any ideas please?

This could issue might something to do with wires that connects screen monitor activated. The same applies to desktop computer that has wires to connect from CPU to monitor.

On laptop computers, it has wires that make screen functions when the wire is on the correct slots. Try to check this wire if it's loose or something.

Memory might be the factor since you are installing a new hardware inside. It might make the wire loose a bit, and when you put the old one back then the wire itself loose it's track.

Secure all connections inside tightly and you'll get the results what you are expecting.

The technician should be place a new memory. A really new memory because it might be that both memory are not functioning very well. That is why it is not booting up anymore.

You might also experiencing a flex cable error or loose flex cable connection for your screen. It might have happen when the technician opened your laptop.

It could also be the motherboard of your laptop so I suggest that you bring it to the nearest Acer Service Center in your area because they know how to fix it. Also if the laptop has a warranty then I suggest that you try to avail it.
