I have a medium class PC. I am in my home with LAN. There are other PCs in that network. Now the problem is, few days ago my PC could not connect to the network and it’s LAN light is not lit.
I have checked the network manager and I don’t find any Local Area Connection there. Anyone help. I am using Windows 7.
Missing LAN on windows 7, Could not connect to a network
You are facing some connection issues. First check this. Go to your BIOS menu and check if, the Local Area Connection enabled or not. If it is disabled, then enable it. Otherwise, you don’t have a BIOS issue. So it could be a hardware problem. For fixing that, first manage some NIC/LAN card and replace it with yours.
Then check if the problem is fixed or not. If the problem is fixed, then you have problems in your NIC card and you have to change it. Buy a good one for that.
I would recommend Intel cards. You can go to their website and search for them. If the problem is not solved yet, then you must have some defect in you NIC card port in the motherboard. Then you have no choice but to change your motherboard. Hope you don’t have to go for the third one.

Missing LAN on windows 7, Could not connect to a network
Hi Dear,
It seems that the cable that connects your computer with the network is damaged.
When the cable is connected to the computer, the light on LAN Card should start blinking, but you said that there is no light on the LAN card.
This means that your cable is not working properly, so check your cable for any damage.
Also, check the connectors and make sure that they are punched well.
Sometimes, cable becomes damaged inside the connectors, and we have to change the connectors.
I hope this will help you. Thanks.
Missing LAN on windows 7, Could not connect to a network
Dear,
This problem has two major reasons behind this.
-
Cable Damage
-
Network Disable
Sometimes when cable becomes damaged from anywhere then this problem can be occurred.
Sometimes LAN Card became disabled and stops the entire network.
To solve this issue. Check the cable first. Check the cable from both ends. Is there any damage?
After that type “devmgmt.msc” in Run and press enter key on keyboard.
Now device manager will open. Look here for you network card. See if it is disabled then right click on it and chose enable.
Now your problem will be resolved.
Thanks
