My Acrobat Cannot Connect To The Server And Gives Acrobat Error DDE Server
If Acrobat is busy doing another task and in between other Acrobat is launched for the different task, then it gives Acrobat error to connect to DDE server with a description ‘A running instance of Acrobat has caused an error.’
The methods to fix the error code are as follows:
Method 1: Quit Acrobat and kill the previously running Acrobat
Step 1: Quit Acrobat.
Step 2: Hold down Ctrl + Alt + Delete together to open Task Manager.
Step 3: Right-click on Adobe Acrobat, then click on End Task.
Step 4: Close Task Manager and launch the application to check the error is resolved or not.
Method 2: Repair Acrobat
Step 1: Launch the Acrobat application.
Step 2: Run repair from within Acrobat: Choose Help >> Repair Installation.
