I have multiple layered Adobe Photoshop documents. Multiple layers are locked by me but not all the layers are locked. I need to modify some locked layers so I have clicked the layer then click the lock button to unlock the layer but it comes into my surprise that the layer could not be unlock. I can’t make any modification anymore unless if I will regenerate the entire layer.
I know that all layers can be unlocked even the background layer, but at this time I can not unlocked it.
I need your expertise here.

Hi Eloise,
Basically this error tells that your that software is now corrupted and never opens now. So the solution for you is that if you want to use this software then you must install it again and then start working on the same layers.
Another way is that you can go to the control panel and then presses add/remove tag. You found there that software then click that software and then there is an option of repair then press that button and then again install it.
After completing your installation hopefully you are able to use that software without error but if again it shows error then use the first method which I told you in the first paragraph.

Hi Eloise,
I think the best way you can do  is uninstall Photoshop cs3 and install it again. I use Photoshop cs4 and it still good, you can try, it similar to cs3 and it have more custom than cs3.Â

HELLO,
I have read your problem. And i think this is not a big deal. first of all you have to make sure whether you have selected the specific layer for the changes. after that you check out whether the layer is locked with another or not. because if the layer is locked or attached with another then this kind of error occurs.
if the problem still comes then you must concern to control panel for repair the version/ you have to re install the software.
