MS Photo Editor Can’t determine type Error

I am using IrfanView and MS Photo Editor to open jpg files but I encountered some problem with it. The message I get when using MS Photo Editor states that "Can't determine type". I obviously could not open the file. I have tried to look over in the net but I couldn’t find any comprehensive answer and it didn’t work. Could the header information (EXIF? info) have been corrupted? And if it is what should I do next? I hope this would be the place that I could get the help I want. Thank you in advance!

MS Photo Editor Can’t determine type Error

Hello,

Error reading file is not usually caused by an application or Windows error. It's usually an indication that the file you're trying to open is corrupt or is not properly formatted image file, or maybe it is incomplete or became garbled when it was downloaded or copied. Just as a test to see if they are indeed corrupted, try to open them with another image viewer/editor. If you don't have anything without Ms photo editor or Irfanview, so please download and install the free FastStone Viewer. That can open jpeg or jpg files.

On the other way your temporary cache is full. Please go to in Internet Explorer, tools, Internet Options, delete files. Then it may be solved.

Thanks,
