Hi,

Last week I purchased a new MS Office Professional Plus 2010from Microsoft. Then I just installed it in my computer. All of the sudden I am getting this error code 0x8007232B when I open Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010; it has something to do with activation.

When I entered my product key it did not ask me to activate anything, so I'm not sure why I am getting this error.

Hey  Morrison Boyd.

  • I think you met this error just because previously the file is was incomplete that means while installing you could not installed complete file of MS Office. The solution is that Just Go to the Control panel highlight MS Office and hit delete form your PC. After deleting that file from your Pc now you are suppose to install the verified Microsoft Office Licensed then you can download that file and run install to install whole file.

Hope this Suggestion could help you in better way.  Thanks.

Regards ,

Dorra.

This error occurred during installation because of the anti-virus block the application or there is incompatibility process between Windows and Microsoft office 2010. If you using Windows XP make sure it is service pack 3 or Windows 7 and VISTA so that you can continue installing the Microsoft office 2010.

  • Insert Microsoft office 2010 in the CD-Room..
  • Enter code if needed and with until finish the installation.

I hope this tips can help you…. Thank you And God be with you.

The error 0x8007232B that you are getting is a KMS client activation error that refers to a non-existent DNS name. The error means the KMS client can’t find the KMS SRV RRs in the DNS. And if your network doesn’t have the KMS host or it doesn’t exist in the network, an alternative is to use a MAK key to install it.

When you install Microsoft Office 2010 and you activate the software, the usual error that appears is sometimes 0x8004F807 or 0x8007232B. It means the program is trying to be activated using the default KMS product key, KMS stands for Key Management Service. And the error appears because the KMS host doesn’t exist.

To fix your problem, use a MAK key or Multiple Activation Key to activate the program. Try using the MAK key “2PWHY-KT4X6-96PYW-XQR7V-HW2W9” to activate your Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010. If this product key doesn’t work, try requesting for a MAK key for your version. To apply the product key, start Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010, click File, and then Help.

Click Change Product Key, enter the MAK key indicated above, and then click Continue. Check the appropriate box to either activate automatically or restart Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010 and activate using the activation dialog box. For more information, visit Microsoft Office 2010 Volume Activation.
