Hi Experts,

Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010 has encountered a problem. It cannot set up on the computer running terminal services. How can I collect a suitable edition for my computer?

I do not know the reason behind the incompatibility issue of Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010 with my computer.

What should I do?

Please help.

Thanks.

This copy of Microsoft Office 2010 cannot be used on a computer running Terminal services. To use office 2010 on a computer running Terminal Services, you must use a Volume License edition of Office.

Setup is unable to proceed due to the following error(s):

This copy of Microsoft Office 2010 cannot be used on a computer running

Terminal services. To use office 2010 on a computer running Terminal

Services, you must use a Volume License edition of Office.

Correct the issue(s) above and re-run the set-up.

Hi,

You face this problem if you install retail edition, a trial edition, a pre-installed edition office 2010 in your computer.

To Fix this problem, install an edition of Office 2010 that uses a Volume License Key.

Please visit microsoft official page to know more about the volume License key.

Hope it helps. Thanks.

Hi Acke,

You need to make sure that you have the volume license version of your Office 2010 for terminal server. Sometimes it can be caused when you already installed the software on a stand-alone computer before making it as a terminal server role as it requires an elevated user access for it to work.
