MS Office 2013 stopped working

Hello everybody,

I am using Lenovo Thinkpad T420 with Windows 7 on it. I am using MS Office 2013 mainly MS Word, Excel and Outlook and all are working fine.

But starting this week, whenever I open the MS Word it is not opening and throwing an error that it is busy . The similar message coming whenever I use any office application. Sometimes it works when I restart, but not always. But restarting can't be done whenever I want to use it. So, I am looking for a permanent solution.

Anybody faced the same issue? Please help me in finding a solution for this. Thanks in advance!

MS Office 2013 stopped working


1. You must Install the latest Windows updates to your computer if you want to fix this problem.

 If you aren’t sure how to update Windows, the update your computer article will provide information on both manual updates and how to set up automatic updates.

2. Reboot your computer.

3. Try to launch your Office 2013 application.

4. If after installing Windows updates you are still receiving a “stopped working” error, continue to the next section and follow the instructions.
