Cannot write to F:MozBackupSeaMonkey 1.9.0.5 – 2009-01-08.pcv <20: The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process>

As you can see the letters in your error message box you noticed that the message was so clearly understandable. It means that you cannot write or run the file while you are using it or the file was being opened by another user.

So I suggest that before you write, close or delete some of your files always check if the file was running or being used by another application in your system. This is the cause of the error message.

I hope it would help you. But if not I suggest that you have to call your administrative support in your application.

Thanks.

If drive “F” in “F:\MozBackup\SeaMonkey 1.9.0.5 – 2009-01-08.pcv” points to an external drive, one possible reason for this error is your security program. If you have an antivirus or internet security program, its process is probably locked on to that drive so any file located on that drive is also locked and only the security program has exclusive access to it.

To free the drive, disable your antivirus or internet security program temporarily then try running MozBackup again. See if it works. Once you are finished with MozBackup, just re-enable your antivirus or internet security program. But if this doesn’t work, close everything and disconnect your external drive from the USB port and then restart the computer. After booting, disable your antivirus or internet security program.

Once this is disabled, plug your external drive to your USB port and then run MozBackup. The program should run this time. When you are finished, just enable back your antivirus or internet security program.
