I have an HP Probook with Windows 7 Pro OS came with wireless mouse & keyboard. I am not ok with these wireless stuffs they do not work well so I want to use wired keyboard and mouse. But my problem is when I plug the mouse and the keyboard the devices aren't recognized. I tried rebooting by gets the same result. It’s supposed to be working right? But what seem to be the problem?

Hi'

Here is your solution as you tried connecting both the devices keyboard and mouse but they are not recognised try unplugging all the devices and then plug or connect again this might work.If this even does not work check your device drivers are installed correctly. The drivers should install themselves automatically when connected but if they won't you need to check with the latest drivers available and install them don't forget to install them the one's which version is required you may end up downloading old drivers.

If both devices, the mouse and the keyboard, are wireless then you need to check if they have batteries included. Wireless devices always run on batteries. Because they are wireless, they don’t have cables that connect directly to the computer to feed them power to operate. The battery is their source of power.

If both devices aren’t detected when you connect them to your computer, it is either the devices are turned off or don’t have batteries to power up. When you buy wireless devices, the battery is usually not included so you need to buy it separately. If both devices don’t have batteries, buy new batteries and install them on each device.

Also, check if there is a switch on the side to turn the device on and off. My wireless mouse has a switch near the battery compartment. If there is a switch, push it to turn on the device. Once the devices are turned on, make sure the wireless adapters of both devices are connected to the USB ports.

They will not work and the computer won’t be able to detect them if the wireless receivers are not connected.
