Apple has unveiled the mountain lion developer preview 3 to developers.
What does this update offer to developers in progress of practice in Mountain Lion and what types of bugs are found in developer preview 3?
This update offers integration of OS X and iOS and include new bugs fixes though still hadn’t solved all previous problems. Developers are encouraged to report bugs, test compatibility and share their experiences during testing period.
They are granted access to pre-released Mac software, development tools, SDKs, and more. New features like Messages, Notes and Reminders are included.
Support of AIM, Yahoo Messenger, Google Talk, and Jabber are included in Messages. Mac versions of Notes, Reminders, OS-wide Twitter integration, Notification Center, Share Sheets, Game Center, and AirPlay Mirroring are included in Notes. Many of new applications will synchronize with devices working with previous version of iOS and Macs using iCloud account.
Users can share their photos, videos and other files using Share Sheets. AirPlay Mirroring enables 720p video stream sending from a Mac to Apple TV.
Updated iCloud support is included in Mountain Lion. Multiplayer gameplay between iPhones, iPads, iPod touches and Macs are enabled in Game Center. The most interesting thing about Mountain Lion is new feature called Gatekeeper that offers improved security for installed third-party applications. Most of the bugs are related to Messages, Game Center, Share Sheets and sync.
