When many users were expecting the arrival of the upgrade to Android Ice Cream Sandwich, The new (and first) software upgrade for DROID 4 has been released, It will bring the build of this last to 6.13.219.

But what are the new features that this upgrade will bring to the DROID4, actually the release note includes the new widget of MotoCast, improved and extended battery life, and some fixes such as fixes for keyboard backlight troubles and fixes for Wi-Fi connectivity troubles.

It runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread powered by TI OMAP 4430 chipset with dual-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A9 processor and PowerVR SGX540 GPU. This model is able to upgrade to 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. For internet browsing, it supports HTML and Adobe Flash plus Java support with Java MIDP emulator. It is powered by a non-removable Li-Ion 1785 mAh battery with standby time of up to 204 hours and talk time of up to 12 hours 30 minutes.

It can be purchased for around 340 Euros. Though it supports LTE network, the speed is only limited to 700 MHz.
