Hi,

If you see the error on the VS 2008 client after you upgrade, you need to check whether you have KB74558 installed. If not, download it manually or run diagnostics to ensure your entire system is up to date.

MS Visual Studio

Check that you have the update to connect to TFS 2010 via "Help About Microsoft Visual Studio".

I think it will help you to solve the problem.

Thanks for asking.

Hathy

Hello Matland,

You will need to be a member of the following security groups in order to successfully perform that procedure:

  • You will need to be a member of the Team Foundation Administrators or Project Administrators group. Once you have that privilege you can be able to create new project's permission that can be set to Allow.

  • You will also need to be a member of the server that will host SharePoint Products for your team project. To do that you will need to be part of the appropriate group in SharePoint Central Administration. Note that those groups may vary depending on your version of SharePoint Products. Also, you won't need this permission in case you don't specify that a portal is created for your team project.

Regards,

Carl
