Recently I bought a new computer. It came with Microsoft Office 2010 for an additional price. I still had my Office 2007 so I installed it. It was working fine. But I just downloaded the update from Microsoft, this update would not install.
I have tried numerous times. I have restarted my computer several times. Can anyone help me to get rid of this problem?

This may be because you have installed both versions of Microsoft Office that is 2007 as well as 2010.
This can cause a clash as to when you try to download and update the system checks for the Microsoft Office folder for the available files and compare it with the server files and prepare only the files not present in your system for upgrade.
The system must be finding both versions 2010 and 1007 and this I think may be the reason of the problem in update.
Try uninstalling Microsoft Office 2007 and then updating it or vice versa as to which Office version you prefer to keep in your system.
I hope this will solve your problem and you will be successfully able to update it then.
