Hello Professionals,

When I try to upgrade my system to latest version, I was stuck up with an error message. While upgrading Microsoft office package to Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010 I ended up with an error message. The error message states that this error occurred during the installation of assembly component. How do I fix this issue? I tried to reinstall it but again I got the same error message. Please help me, thanks.

Such error requires .NET Framework fixed or upgraded. .NET Framework is a software development framework created by Microsoft and is being used in all Microsoft software. Office 2010 also requires the .NET Framework runtime to function properly.

First of all, uninstall all the .NET Framework component from your PC. To do so, go to Start menu >> Control Panel >> Programs >> Programs and Features. Right-click on all .NET Framework installation and select “Uninstall”.

Then, download and install the latest .NET Framework. Download .NET Framework 4.5.1. This is the latest one and includes support for all the previous .NET Framework versions.

Now, run the setup. This should go fine without any more problem.
