I am using MS-Outlook 2010 on my Windows Vista computer. I can’t seem to access hotmail mailbox and giving me an error telling me to upgrade to the latest version of Outlook Connector with choices to Upgrade Now or Remind Me Later. Choosing Upgrade Now does not have effect except for it will close the outlook window. How can I fix this so I can access my mails again?

Microsoft Outlook Hotmail Connector gives the users a solution to manage their Windows Live Hotmail Messages, Calendar, Contacts from within your Outlook 2003, 2007 and 2010.

To fix this problem, follow the following steps:

1. If your MS-Outlook is open, close it before continuing.

2. For Windows 7 and Windows Vista:

Click All Programs>Accessories and then click Run or just simply type Run on the search box.

For Windows XP:

Click Start then Run

3. Type appwiz.cpl and then click OK. This will open the Add/Remove Programs (For Windows XP) or Programs and Features (For Windows 7 and Vista).

4. Uninstall Microsoft Outlook Hotmail Connector.

5. Download and then install the correct version of Outlook Hotmail Connector here:

For 32-Bit version of Outlook 2003, 2007 and 2010:

For 64-Bit version of Outlook 2003, 2007 and 2010:

6. When you are done with downloading and successfully installed the Outlook Hotmail Connector again, go back to Programs and Features or Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel. Search for Microsoft Outlook Hotmail Connector and check for the current version. It should be Version 14.0.5139.5001.

7. You can now sync your Outlook to your Hotmail and check your mails again.

I am very inarticulate when it comes to computer errors, but you make things easy for me. Thank you very much!
