Good Day,
Here I am trying to install the VMware ThinApp version of office 2007 on one of my Windows XP machine and it throws an error message.
I know for sure office was captured on a completely clean machine. And I myself have tried and checked that the individual files work.
Has anyone seen this error or have a solution for the same?

Most likely you are having a problem regarding the size of your .MSI package. Windows only permits in a cabinet file or .CAB a size of 2GB. Check your Office installer on how big it is. What kind of ThinApp you are using? Newer version of ThinApp can now handle .CAB excess file, as it was treated as an external files if it exceed the limitation of 2GB. Version 4.0.0 0-2200 and up should take care of the rest of the process. I would suggest you use version 4.5 as this is the same version of ThinApp that I am using when capturing applications.
