MicroSD card problems with Smartphone

Hi there,

I have an Hauwei Ascend P1, yesterday I upgraded the external memory with a micro SD card of 16GB (Kingston) , when I tried playing an audio file from the card, the phone went off and  started rebooting, I tested the card on  LG G2 and it was okay and it played the file just fine, what could be the cause for the constant rebooting on the Ascend since the card seems okay in LG G2? How can I solve this?

Hi !

Huawei Ascend P1 it might not be compatible with a micro SD card especially the card have such a large capacity-16GB.

For such a big capacity on a micro card you buy to try with a new one. Micro SDHC (secure digital high capacity) or SDXC (secure digital eXtended capacity) -shortly micro SDHC card and micro SDXC card. Before insert them in your phone they have to be formatted in NTFS with a card reader.

Please format the SD card while keeping it onto Hauwei Ascend P1. This will help in getting everything in order as your Phone might support and after then, allows you to do whatever you wish to.

If that didn't seems helpful, you should ask for replacement of SD card as might have some compatibility issues with your targeted mobile device.

Good Luck though…
