Maya fatal error attempting to save in C document

Hi there,

After the system upgrade to latest versions, I am facing this problem with Maya. Not able to work with it like before and when I try to save the document it throws me a fatal error message. Do I need to update the software too? Does the system upgrade affect the existing software in the system? Please help. Thanks.

The cause of Maya fatal crash you're experiencing is most likely connected with the latest NVIDIA drivers having a conflict with Maya's own Optimus driver. To fix this problem, go to NVIDIA Control Panel, click "3D settings", click "Manage 3D settings", click "Programs settings". At step 1 (select program to customize), add Maya and click "Apply" without making any further changes.

Now you can start Maya without a problem.
