Hi there.  I have an iMac that has the 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5 processor, 8 GB RAM, 1 TB HDD, 512 MB Nvidia GeForce GT 640M Graphics Card and an upgraded OSx from Snow Leopard to Mountain Lion.  My Mac software RapidWeaver 5 now crashes when launched.  What could be the problem?

Hello Eckel,

Go to the RapidWeaver menu and  then use 'Check for Update'. Are you prompted that some add ons are out of date? If yes then you will need to run the updater to download and install the latest add ons. After the update is through you should not get the issue.

Hi Eckel,

There are several reasons why your RapidWeaver 5 crashes. These are:

  • The RapidWeaver you downloaded is corrupted.
  • The file itself has been infected with the virus.
  • Numerous application running at one instance.
  • Your drivers are outdated.

To resolve this, you may do the following:

  • As much as possible, run only one program at a time.
  • Update your drivers including sound and video card.
  • Disable your antivirus (if there's any). Possibly, your antivirus software blocks the application.
  • Remove the currently installed software, restart your machine then retry reinstalling your RapidWeaver 5
  • If the file is from online, I suggest downloading the file again.

Hope this helps.
