Hi to all!
I am using Firefox 6.0. Before, I had Firefox 3.6.8. I saved my different account passwords in Firefox 3.6.8. When I installed Firefox 6.0, those passwords were lost.
Can I have the proper solution for this?
Lost my save password after installing firefox 6.0
Normally, when you uninstalled the older version of your Firefox, it doesn’t remove your profile which contains your address books, settings, mail and even your password. For insurance, you should have copied your profiles with MozBackup as a backup.
If you back up your profile using MozBackup, then it is possible to restore your password in your upgraded version. Just open the MozBAckup on your computer, then choose your password or even the other files that you want to restore. Your backup file duplicates from the older version of your Firefox.
If you didn’t back up your profile or password from your previous version, try to download and install again your older version of Firefox. As I said, there’s a possibility that your profile is not totally removed. To lessen the possible aftermath, you should install and save it in its former location.

Kaitlyn's right. When upgrading a program to a newer version, the program is not removed and just being updated and all your bookmarks or contacts are intact. There are also other programs that need to uninstall first the older version to give way to the new version. They do the un-installation automatically. I don’t know what happened to your program. I also use Mozilla Firefox and recently upgraded to version 6.0.1, the latest. Unlike you, every time I upgrade my Mozilla, nothing happens to my bookmarks or whatever I added to it. They are all intact, still visible and usable.
Don’t worry about your lost passwords, they will surely be recovered. Just go to the site where you created those accounts. There is always a link there for those users who forgot their passwords. This is usually located under the log-in link, something like “Lost Password?”. Just click it and follow the instructions. The forgotten password is mailed directly to your email address. So, you really don’t have to worry.
