Hi Shawn, if you have encrypted the hard disk with windows Bit Locker, there is a command line tool in Windows 7 called Bit Locker repair tool. This tool is specifically use for extraction of data from damaged or locked Bit Locked drives. Before you proceed with that, you must have administrative credentials and you must have a recovery password or if not recovery file location. Somehow if you still don’t have those, you just need to have a Recovery package file location. Lastly, you must have an empty output volume larger than the Bit Locked drive. From the cmd prompt, type repair-bde E:[this is the drive where we will recover the data] and then F:-rk F:RecoveryKey.bek  [this is the drive where we will recover the data]. Once Bit Locker will verify the command and it pass it will copy the encrypted data to the other drive and you will recover your precious files.
