Hello to All!

I am looking for a portable Data Dictionary Creator Exe. Do you think there is a portable application for a data dictionary application? I tried to get an installer but what I got is an infected file. So if anyone has a portable data dictionary please help me. I am using windows XP but if you don’t have the file for windows XP then it is okay if you have the version for Windows 7.

Thank you in advance.

Hi Alicekdailey

Getting a portable application is not recommended since the programmers have design there software although they provide same functions but they differ in one way or the other.

I will advise you to install a fresh the whole package.

Am going to give you a link that will enable you to download a compatible software in both window 7/ XP/ Vista

There you go dictionarycreator

If you are looking for the “Data Dictionary Creator” application from CodePlex, sad to say but the software has been retired. Data Dictionary Creator or DDC is a simple application that helps you document Microsoft SQL Server databases. The program saves all the information in Extended Properties to make it easier to maintain the documentation synchronized with the database as it changes.

The latest and last version was Data Dictionary Creator 1.3.4 released on July 18, 2010. Fixes in this release include:

  • Added ClickOnce update support
  • Fix work item #26111

If you have any earlier version of this program, this version requires that you uninstall any previous versions before installing because the deployment method has changed to use ClickOnce. This version requires Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0. Though CodePlex has retired the program, the last version is still available for download. Go to Data Dictionary Creator CodePlex Archive to download the last version.
