Wireless router contains an access point and the wireless customers.

You can set up a wired network by connecting the router using cables.

Setup the clients by adding a wireless card to each PC.

The wireless access points are installed in such a way to have maximum coverage. It is called the coverage cell. More access points are required at larger areas for adequate coverage. We can add access point to our wireless router to improve the coverage.

THE OPERATING MODE :

1) Infrastructure mode

• Connects desktops with adapters/ wireless clients to the wireless network using a router.

2) Ad hoc mode

• Connects wireless clients directly.
• No need for router/ access point.
• It contains customers that transfer their data directly.
