By default, when you print documents it is in black color unless you change the color of the text. But for images it is always in color. The color of the image in the print or hard copy always depends on the source image. If the image you want to print is in full color then your hard copy will have the print in full color as well.

There is no option in the printer to make the print black and white because the color is handled by the application you are using like Microsoft Office Word, Adobe Photoshop, and others. If you want to change the image in the print to black and white then you need to convert your source image first to black and white.

You can find the option to change the color in your application. For example, in Photoshop, load your image then go to “Image,” “Mode” then select “Grayscale.” Save the file with a new filename then print it. The print should be in black and white.
