Hello. Recently, I came across these two terms: Software Engineer and Software Developer.  I think they mean almost the same thing. Is there any difference between them?  Please reply ASAP.

To understand the two terms that they do not mean the SAME THING. It all depends on the companies as they define the positions. Sure, they are related but not identical.

Software Developer: They are skilled in the field of making software.  They use their knowledge to design, execute and test system-level software. Basically, they deal with all the features of software development process.

Software Engineer: They use their principles of Engineering to design, develop, maintain and test software.  An Engineer designs things. A Software Engineer designs and builds software using the principles and mathematical methods of Engineering.
