Hi. To learn how to open TurboTax file, first click on the icon of TurboTax program to open it. Then, select the return which is to be opened and click on continue. You can also click on the file menu of TurboTax, browse to the location of the tax file and click on open. You are also required to have an already existing tax file for the same year as that of the program. To view the files of the previous year, click on start, type .tax2011 in the search field and then replace it with the year which is desired.
The file should be right-clicked and then the file location should be opened. Open TurboTax for the year of return which is to be viewed. For example, TurboTax 2009 is needed to open the return of the year 2009. Select the open option from the file menu, browse the file and click on it so that it can be viewed.
