Hi. The steps to perform free password reset for Windows 7 without the use of a CD are as given below-
1) Boot the PC from the boot disk. If you are asked for the first partition, click on Enter
2) Then you are required to select the path of the registry. Press enter
3) You can then select if you want to reset the password. Click on enter
4) After this you will be asked if you want to edit the users or the registry. Press enter for resetting the password
5) Next you will have to enter the username whose password is to be reset. Press enter
6) To exit you can click on “!” and to save the username you can press y
7) Once edit complete appears on the screen, the computer can be rebooted and you can log in using the new password.
