Hi. The steps to convert raid 1 to raid 10 are-

1) First, create a backup of the disk

2) Then, mount aid10 and rsync raid 1 with raid 10

3) Then, add the new raid 10 after failing the raid

4) The disk which has been removed should then be added to raid 10

5) The new array should have GRUB installed on it

6) Now, towards the end try rebooting the array and if it starts working properly, then add the rest of the data from the old disk to it The most commonly prevalent raid levels are-

1) Raid level 0 has a minimum of 2 disks, gives an excellent performance and has absolutely no redundancy

2) Raid level 1 has a minimum of 2 disks, gives a good performance and a remarkable redundancy

3) Raid level 5 have a minimum of three disks, give a good performance and has a good redundancy. It is also cost effective

4) Raid level 10 has a minimum of 4 disks, has an excellent performance as well as redundancy and is a little expensive

Hope we helped.
