Hello,

 I had downloaded a stand-alone jar file on my computer a few days ago. Today I noticed that I cannot open any jar file on my computer and am getting the error below. Any ideas?

1. If you do not have Java SE 7 installed, download it from www.oracle.com. Find your platform and restart your computer after the download.

2. Change the Java preferences. Find Spotlight in the top right part of your screen and search Java Preferences.

3. In the Java Preferences window, uncheck Java SE 6 and check Java SE 7.

4. Close the Java preferences.
