ITunes is set to run on compatibility mode?

Hi,

I have installed iTunes twice and thought that this error message box won’t appear but is not working. On the official site it says that is compatible with Windows 7 and I don’t understand why is not working. I have installed it normal following the steps in the manual. How can I make it to work properly? Why I have this problem? I will have this problem with other softwares in the future?

Thank you!

iTunes .exe has been set to run in compatibility mode for an older version of Windows. For best result turn off compatibility mode for iTunes before you open it.

Hello,

It looks like iTunes is configured to run on a compatible mode. This compatibility mode is created to run programs that are made for other version of Windows. You have to turn off the compatibility mode so that your issue will disappear.

  1. Go to “C:Program FilesiTunes”.
  2. Right-click on “itunes.exe” and go to “Properties”.
  3. Open the “Compatibility” tab.
  4. Uncheck all the boxes. If you can’t do or find grey boxes, click on “Change settings for all users” on the bottom and uncheck all.

Your iTunes is good to go.

Also, you should update your iTunes to the latest version. Download iTunes.
