I have an iPhone 5s and i recently downloaded the latest iTunes on my Mac Book Pro. The setup is almost 2GB. When i try to update the iOS, it gets to the step where it starts restoring and backing up and then suddenly pops up with an error code 3004. Is there something wrong with my iTunes? Or is it an issue with my iPhone? Does iPhone 5S support the latest update?

Another solution to this problem is –
The error can be because of a simple problem with the hosts file.
Here are the steps to fix it.
For Mac system, the hosts file is in /etc/
Open the file with Notepad (or any other text editing software)
Check for the below line in the file
74.208.105.171 gs.apple.com
Either comment this line out by typing a single ‘#’.
Save the hosts file and then try updating iPhone through iTunes.
Hope it helps!
