Issue with vmware disk mount appassure

On my Windows system I was using VMware disk mount appeaser utility to mount a VMware virtual disk (.vmdk file). In past I was able to read, write and modify disk. But now I am facing a problem with it. Actually I mounted the virtual disk with snapshots. Unfortunately I make changes in snapshot and now my disk is lost. I am searching for the way to get it back. Can I get back my disk? If you know this then tell me how to do.

Hello Alex Joshuaa,

This feels like the same situation as having a disk full of files then suddenly died. Try to create a new VM and use an existing virtual disk. Try to boot the VM and if you only have the vmdk file then create a virtual disk of exact size. Use the vmdk file and manually modify it to match the existing vmdk file and boot your VM again. This method is risky and only a few people did it so do it at your own risk.

Hope this helps.
