Hi Guys,

I tried to upgrade my 4G iPod touch IOS 5.0.1 to IOS 5.1.1 and received an error message. It says, “The ipod 'ipod' could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (1600)”. I tried to upgrade it again and again but no result. Have you any idea?

Please help me to get a remedy.

Hi,

I will help you fix the issue on your computer. Please try the following:
>>Try changing the USB ports.

>>Try using a different dock connector.

>>Make sure you are using actual USB.

>>Try updating the ITunes on your computer to the latest version.

>>Make sure your computer date and time is correct.

If the issue does not get fixed, you can download the iREB application from Apple to fix the issue. It can be downloaded from the official website.
