I keep getting this error when I connect my ipod to the pc.

How can I sync my ibooks downloads from iTunes with this kind of error

This iPod cannot be used because the Apple Mobile Device service has not started?

If your iPod’s software is already installed on your computer when you see this error on your screen, try uninstalling it then install it back. This will fix any corrupted files in the installation and will restore the settings back to the default.

Open the application then connect your iPod to your computer then try to synchronize again.

If you still can not make a connection to the computer, check if your iPod’s software that is installed on your computer is compatible with your operating system. Be sure your iPod’s application loads properly without any errors.

You may also try to transfer your USB cable to the other available ports on your CPU.

Try restarting your computer then try again.

Don’t open any other applications when opening your iPod’s software to avoid any conflicts.

Hi,

To make this work, you have to configure some setting on your computer.

From the Start menu right-click My Computer and click Manage. The Computer Management dialog box will appear.

Double – click Services and Applications, then double – click Services. Look for Apple Mobile Device and double – click.

A new dialog box will appear. Look for Startup Type and choose Automatic. Click ok.

This time, locate and double-click iPod Services. Just the same, Look for Startup Type and choose Automatic. Click ok.

Simply unplug and plug your device it should work this time.

Good luck!
