Hello! I have issues running my newly bought Fix-it Utilities 10. After purchasing, I installed it on my two machines. I installed it successfully without issues on my laptop and desktop PC. But after few hours of using it, I can’t seem to use it with my desktop PC. It keeps asking for a valid serial key; though I can use it with my laptop without this kind of error. How can I fix it? The serial key starts with A311. Please help.

Hi Michelle,

You may want to check the CD case of the Fix-it Utilities application you have purchased. It may be that it can only be installed on one computer as it only have 1 license on it and not on more. There are some instances that you can install an application to up to 3 computers like Microsoft office because there are 3 licenses on 1 cd. But it is included on the information.

If there is no information on the CD case, you may want to check it with where you have purchased the application. You could then verify if it’s a license issue and can be remedied by buying another license.

If you purchased the software and installed it on two machines and now the other computer keeps asking for a serial key while the other one is fine, you should check the validity of the license you purchased. Check and verify if the serial key that came with the product is valid for multiple computers like two or more machines.

That should answer your question regarding the serial key. Go back to the website where you bought the software and check the product details again. Verify that the serial key is usable for two or more computers. If there is no description about the validity of the license and you have this problem, it means the license applies to one computer only and cannot be used on another computer.

This also means you have to purchase a separate license for the other computer if you want to use it. You can also try to uninstall and reinstall the program on the affected computer. Download the free version of Revo Uninstaller and install on the affected computer. Once installed, start Revo then select the affected program among the applications and click “Uninstall.”

Follow the normal uninstall process. When you are prompted to restart the computer, click to restart later. When uninstall is complete, click “Scan” to scan your computer for any leftover files and click to delete everything it finds. This removes everything the program created on your computer. When it is finished, exit Revo then restart the computer.

After booting, install the program back. If the problem continues, try Fix-It Utilities 15 Professional. This costs $39.95 and the license or the serial key can be used up to five (5) computers.
